How my Sav­ior left His glo­ry

How the Son of God on high

Came to earth in rich com­pas­sion

Gave Him­self for us to die.

I will sing this bless­èd sto­ry

Gladly sing it ev­ery­where

Of the Sav­ior’s match­less glo­ry

And the love His child­ren share.

I will sing the sto­ry sweet­ly

And when life is sink­ing low

I will trust Him then com­plete­ly

For my Sav­ior loves me so.
