When We Reach the Bright Mansions

lyricist: Mary Batchelder, 1891
Composer: D. C. Wright

When we reach those bright mansions in glory

And the King in His beauty we see;

When we drink of the life giving fountain

What a joy

what a rapture ’twill be.

Multitudes that no man can number

They meet on that beautiful shore;

They are singing their praises to Jesus

Who is worthy of praise evermore

When we pass thro’ the swellings of Jordan

We shall sing the new song of the blest;

With the blood bought

the pure

and the holy

We shall dwell in that city of rest.

Yes

we’ll sing the new song of redemption

With our garments all spotless and white;

Then we’ll crown Him our blessèd Redeemer

And ascend to the mansions of light.
