We Will Work While It Is Day

In the vine­yard of the Lord

There is work for all to do;

Jesus calls us by His word

Calls for sol­diers brave and true.

We will work while it is day

Night is com­ing sure and fast;

We will la­bor

watch and pray

Work while time with us shall last.

There are lost ones to be found;

There are hun­gry to be fed;

In good works we would abound

In the name of Christ our head.

When the toil of life is o’er

We shall rest in man­sions fair;

With the Lord whom we ad­ore

We shall dwell for­ev­er there.
