Turn Not Away

Turn not away from the heav’n­ly word

Spurn not the mes­sage your ears have heard

But yield your heart to the Sav­ior’s care

And in His serv­ice and His glo­ry share.

Long He has wait­ed

long He has striv­en

Time af­ter time this mes­sage He’s giv­en;

Hear now and heed it with heart bowed down

And o’er the cross see the gold­en crown.

Turn not away from the gen­tle voice

Hear ye His call

in His love re­joice.

Happy are all who His call ob­ey

Blessèd the feet who walk His ho­ly way.
