Thy great­ness

Lord

what thought can reach

What mor­tal tongue can tell?

Thy throne is fixed

Thy pow­er ex­tends

O’er Heav­en and earth and hell.

Who can evade or who re­sist

The ven­geance of a God?

Thy wrath vin­dict­ive

once pro­voked

Spreads ter­ror all abroad.

The wide do­min­ion and the pow­er

The sov­er­eign­ty is Thine;

‘Tis Thine the uni­verse to rule

With majes­ty di­vine.

To Thee

by all the hosts of Heav­en

By all the hu­man race

Be ev­er­last­ing ho­nors giv­en

And uni­vers­al praise.
