That Happy Land

Composer: John Matthews, 1914

There’s a land of pure delight

Where can come no sin or night

Just beyond the golden strand;

And some day we hope to rest

With the saved ones and the blest

In that happy

happy land!

O the rapture we shall know

Free from every care and woe!

With our Savior we shall be

Throughout all eternity

In that happy

happy land!

There’ll be joy beyond compare

Freedom from all pain and care

When in Heav’n redeemed we stand;

All our sorrows will be o’er

With our friends we’ll part no more

In that happy

happy land!

Sinner

will you go with me

To that land beyond death’s sea?

Then obey your Lord’s command;

O accept Him while ’tis day

That you may abide for aye

In that happy

happy land!
