The Stream of Life

There’s a stream flow­ing in peace

To the lost

bring­ing re­lease

If they drink of its wa­ters so clear;

O then come

own­ing each sin

And re­ceive cleans­ing with­in—

O be saved while your Re­deem­er’s near.

Beautiful stream

flow­ing along

Bringing peace to the mill­ions in woe;

Beautiful stream

riv­er of life

To this stream

sin­ner

oh haste to go!

Lovely stream

riv­er of life

There you’ll find free­dom from strife

Precious balm for the wea­ry al­way;

If you shall hear to be­lieve

Pardoning grace you shall re­ceive

And thro’ Christ

glad­ness obtain for aye.

Stream of life

peace­ful and blest

Near thy flow may we all rest

And from sin and its sor­rows be free;

Till be­yond death we shall meet

There our Lord’s praise to re­peat

Thro’ a long hap­py eter­ni­ty!
