The Stars Are Brightly Shining

The stars are bright­ly shin­ing

Above a peace­ful plain

While shep­herds watch and list­en

To hear a glad ref­rain.

The ang­els sing the mes­sage

Good will on earth we bring;

The Prince of Peace we her­ald now

Your Sav­ior and your king.

The wise men

too

are watch­ing

The star that shall arise!

In glo­ri­ous beau­ty light­ing

The mid­night dark­ened skies.

Thro’ the whole world the sum­mons

Comes from the sky to earth

Awake

and give your hom­age

Proclaim the Sav­ior’s birth.
