The Song the Shepherds Heard

While shep­herds watched their flocks one night

In Ju­dea far away

The sky was filled with a won­der­ful light

And they heard an an­gel say:

Fear not

for be­hold

I bring

Glad tid­ings of great joy

For un­to you is born this day

A Sav­ior

Christ the Lord.

Ye shall find the Babe in a man­ger laid

In the town of Beth­lehem.

A host of an­gels from Heav­en sang

As the seek­ing shep­herds came:

Glory to God above!

The joy­ful chor­us rang

Glory to God in the high­est!

Peace on earth

good will tow’rd men.
