The love of God we nev­er

Can ful­ly com­pre­hend;

But oh

we’ll praise it ev­er

Changeless

faith­ful with­out end!

O love of God

O sav­ing love

That saw our sin and woe;

And sent the Son from Heav’n ab­ove

That we His love might know!

O it was love that sought us

In dark­ness and dis­tress

And love un­told that bought us

Pardon

peace and right­eous­ness.

His Spir­it He has giv­en

O gift of love un­known!

’Twill lead us home to Heav­en

To joys around the throne!
