That Ye Might Have Life

When you’re long­ing at heart for a lead­er true

And you’re yearn­ing to find the way

Do you heed how the Mas­ter is call­ing you?

He is say­ing to you to­day:

I am come that ye might have life

I am come that ye might have life

And that ye might have it more abun­dant­ly

And that ye might have it more abun­dant­ly

Life! Life! Life! More abun­dant life.

When the load of your sin on your heart weighs sore

And in grief for its shame you fall

Tho’ your guilt may be great

yet His grace is more

And in love you can hear Him call:

When the sha­dows shall fall

and your work is done

Do not fear for the com­ing day;

With your hand close in His

greet the set­ting sun

For He then to your heart will say:
