Thank Him for the Sunshine

There are mo­ments in each life

That bring their sad­ness;

There are oth­er pre­cious mo­ments

That bring joy;

But we’ll thank our lov­ing mas­ter

For the sun­shine

Of the mo­ments that His serv­ice

Doth em­ploy.

we’ll thank our lov­ing mas­ter

For the sun­shine

That is shin­ing in our soul-life

Come to stay;

We will love Him and we’ll praise Him

For the bless­ing

Of His joy­ous pre­sence

In our hearts to­day.

There are bless­ings when the clouds

Dang down in dar­kness

For the raind­rops then will soon

Begin to fall

And the place that long has been so

Dry and thirst­ing

Gains a bless­ing from the Fa­ther

Over all.

All about us God

in na­ture

Seems but smil­ing

From the ri­vu­lets and dai­sies

In the field;

And through ev­ery life He seeks

To send a mes­sage

If to Him our high­est tal­ents

We will yield.
