See the har­vest­ers reap­ing!

Idle they nev­er stand;

They are faith­ful­ly keep­ing

Keeping the Lord’s com­mand.

See the har­vest­ers reap­ing

Many be they or few!

And

if smil­ing or weep­ing

Toiling the whole day through!

See the har­vest­ers reap­ing

Gathering all they may!

Sheaves of life they are keep­ing

Ready to bear away!

See the har­vest­ers reap­ing

Reaping the har­vest vast;

Though the sha­dows be creep­ing

Still they are work­ing fast!

See the har­vest­ers reap­ing

Patient

and brave

and true!

Be not idle

nor sleep­ing

When there is work to do.
