Place Me on the Heavenly Side

If you in Heav’n would stay

through­out eter­nal day

Self and sin must be de­nied;

To Je­sus we must plead

He’ll make us free in­deed

And place us on the heav’n­ly side.

I’ll trust Him what­so­e’er be­tide

I’ll trust Him

He has ne’er de­nied;

To Je­sus I will plead

He’ll meet my ev­ery need

And keep me on the heav’n­ly side.

O! sin­ner

come just now

and un­to Je­sus bow

Give up all your sin and pride;

For Je­sus is the way

just look to Him and say

Lord place me on the heav’n­ly side.

And when my days are done

and I my race have run

I must cross the chil­ly tide.

But Je­sus will be there

I have no need to fear

He’ll land me on the heav’n­ly side.
