Our Best Friend

Jesus is a lov­ing Sav­ior

He will peace and par­don give;

If you long for free sal­va­tion

Only look to Him and live.

He will save you

Save you by His love and pow­er;

He is wait­ing to re­ceive you

He is will­ing

doubt no more.

Earthly friends may oft for­sake you

In your time of great­est need

But there’s One who’ll nev­er leave you

One who is a friend in­deed.

When your path seems dark and drea­ry

And your lot so hard to bear

Only trust your lov­ing Sav­ior;

He will ev­ery bur­den share.

When our war­fare here is end­ed

When we reach that peace­ful shore

Then we’ll praise our dear Re­deem­er

Praise Him there for­ev­er­more.
