the peace that comes from Je­sus

the peace that’s al­ways new

Blessèd peace that last­eth ev­er

Will He glad­ly give to you.

Wonderful it is to be

Calmly kept amid the bil­lows

Of life’s wild and rest­less sea.

the peace that I have tast­ed

Since my Sav­ior spoke to me;

Bidding my poor anx­ious spir­it

Trust in Him who calmed the sea.

the rich­es of this trea­sure

I have found alone in Him;

And His peace with­in is dwell­ing

Since He cleansed me from all sin.

Now this peace to all is of­fered

By a Sav­ior from ab­ove

And in mer­cy He will par­don

Every crea­ture of His love.
