O Lord

give ear when with my voice

I cry aloud to Thee;

Have mer­cy also

I en­treat

Give an­swer un­to me.

When Thou didst say

Seek ye My face

My an­swer­ing heart re­plied

Thy face

Je­ho­vah

will I seek

Above all else be­side.

Hide not Thy face

nor in Thy wrath

Thy serv­ant put away;

Thou hast a help­er been to me

In ev­ery troub­lous day.

O God

my Sav­ior

leave me not;

Though par­ents should for­sake

The Lord

with­in His arms of love

His child will sure­ly take.
