O Guiding Star

The star that shone o’er Beth­le­hem

Is shin­ing now for me

To guide my feet thro’ tan­gled paths

Dear Sav­ior

unto Thee.

O bless­èd star

O ra­di­ant light

Shine on me from afar

And guide me to my home ab­ove

Where ma­ny man­sions are.

Its rays are stream­ing from ab­ove

Thro’ God’s own word so true;

They fill my soul with sweet­er peace

Than sin­ners ev­er knew.

O may I like the men of old

Be led

O star

by thee

Until I reach my heav­en­ly home
