O beau­ti­ful that heav­en­ly scene:

That man­sion in the sky!

Our Fa­ther has pre­pared for those

Who fol­low truth and right.

O beau­ti­ful for pow­er­ful love—

That brought Christ from the grave!

He con­quered sin and Sa­tan’s host

Who ea­ger­ly pur­sue

The zeal of Christ

the Lord of hosts—

And preach the gos­pel truth!

O beau­ti­ful the meek and low:

Who seek not their own;

But hum­bly fol­low af­ter Christ—

His bless­ing is their crown!

O beau­ti­ful

our heav­en­ly home

Far bet­ter than be­low;

The ci­ty not by hu­man hands

Surrounding God’s own throne!
