I fear not the clouds that my sky may be­dim

For Je­sus hath bid­den me look un­to Him;

Tho’ dark­er than mid­night the cloud’s som­ber hue

His love and His mer­cy in beau­ty shine thro’.

I’ve no­thing to fear as I go on my way

His pre­sence is with me by night and by day

Each sor­row

each bur­den

each tri­al and care

He lov­ingly

ten­der­ly with me doth share;

His grace is suf­fi­cient

a boun­ti­ful store

And free­ly ’tis giv­en I’ve proved o’er and o’er.

When all seems but sun­shine

and glad­ness and peace

Then oh

how His pre­sence the joy doth in­crease;

To know He is with me in fel­low­ship sweet

Is bliss be­yond tell­ing

is rap­ture com­plete.

So on­ward I jour­ney

still trust­ing His love

I know He will lead me to man­sions ab­ove;

In yon­der fair c­ity where He is the light

Where com­eth no sor­row and fall­eth no night.
