Welcome now for the roy­al Strang­er;

Greet your Lord this Christ­mas time!

O night of nights! O night di­vine!

Floating down in a sea of glo­ry

Telling un­to the shep­herds true:

Lo! this day in a low­ly man­ger

Christ the Sav­ior is born to you.

Night of nights! still the strains ex­ult­ant

Thrill our souls with their notes sub­lime;

Still to those who with joy re­ceive Him

Jesus comes at the Christ­mas time.
