Luminaries in the Heavens

Our God wants to return

He is waiting for those

Who like Joseph and like Paul

Will learn the secret

How to lack or abound

How to trust and submit

How to live the reigning life

And speak all that you see.

God said

You are the salt of the earth

You are the light of the world.

In this dark age you shine

As luminaries in the heavens.

But we shine not from ourselves;

We behold and we reflect

The glory of our Lord.

Often we are distressed

In a pit or slavery.

But we’re not there on our own;

Jehovah’s there with us

And He is working the most

When it seems like all is wrong

When we are very low

He supplies and cares for us.
