Loved Ones Gone (Greenhaw)

Composer: B. F. Greenhaw, 1919

We have loved ones gone before us

To the peaceful

heav’nly shore

And they’re happy with their Savior

Singing praises evermore.

Loved ones gone are now rejoicing

Free from sorrow

pain and care;

Blessèd thought

thro’ Christ we’ll meet them

In that home so bright and fair.

Sad and lonely they have left us

But our Father’s will be done;

Trusting Him we’ll praise and serve Him

Till our race on earth is run.

O how sweet ’twill be to join them

In that happy home above;

There to dwell in peace forever

Sharing our Redeemer’s love.
