Thou hast pro­mised grace for grace

To all who dai­ly seek Thy face;

To them who have

Thou giv­est more

Out of Thy vast

ex­haust­less store.

Each step we take but ga­thers strength

For fur­ther pro­gress

till at length

With ease the high­est steeps we gain

And count the mount­ain but a plain.

Who watch

and pray

and work each hour

Receive new life and add­ed pow­er

A pow­er fresh vic­to­ries to win

Over the world

and self

and sin.

Help us

O Lord

that we may grow

In grace as Thou dost grace be­stow;

And still Thy rich­er gifts re­peat

Till grace in glo­ry is com­plete.
