O my soul

to high­er joys awak­ing

Rise and ob­ey thy bless­èd Mas­ter’s will;

Now from the world and all its plea­sures break­ing

Live un­to Him

and be thou faith­ful still.

Live un­to Him whose gen­tle hand will guide thee

Safe thro’ the ills that mark this fleet­ing shore;

Live un­to Him who walk­eth still be­side thee

Live un­to Him who liv­eth ev­er­more.

Rise

O my soul

and ov­er­come temp­ta­tion

Stand like the brave amid the bat­tle strife;

Strong in the might and strength of thy sal­va­tion

Hold fast the hope of ev­er­last­ing life.

above thy care and sad­ness

Rise and re­joice

thy song of rap­ture swell;

Praise Him who turns thy sor­row in­to glad­ness

Trust in the Lord

who do­eth all tings well.

Rise

O my soul

the way grows bright be­fore thee

Soon wilt thou reach the sun­ny heights ab­ove;

Haste

haste thee on to glo­ry

un­to glo­ry

Till thou art lost in thy Re­deem­er’s praise.
