Life and Light

My soul is joy­ful in the Lord;

His light shines all around;

For Je­sus is my life

His love in me ab­ounds.

The beau­ti­ful light of God to­day.

His blood has cleansed me from all sin;

I’m ev­ery whit made whole;

And life and light shine now with­in

And glo­ry fills my soul.

My life is hid with Christ in God;

My bread is in His Word;

My meat and drink His right­eous­ness

In Him I live and move.

I care not for this world be­low;

It has no charms I love;

I live by faith and faith alone;

I seek a home ab­ove.
