Jesus Paid the Ransom

When on Cal­va­ry’s mount­ain

God’s be­lov­èd Son

Opened up life’s fount­ain

Lo! the work was done.

Jesus paid the ran­som

Laid on you and me

When He bled and died

For us on Cal­va­ry.

He was pure and ho­ly

Vile and sin­ful we;

Yet the bless­èd Sav­ior

Died to make us free.

On the cross He plead­eth

By His migh­ty love

And He in­ter­ced­eth

Now for us ab­ove.

Come

and now be­lieve Him

Who for thee hath died;

Come

and now re­ceive Him

Christ the cru­ci­fied.
