Jesus Cares

When the cares of life are crowd­ing

Thick and fast up­on your soul

And your light has turned to dark­ness

Ere you reach the longed for goal

Let your heart be brave and trust­ing

While you clasp the Sav­ior’s hand;

For

no mat­ter what the bur­den

He will sure­ly un­der­stand.

Just to know Je­sus cares

O what won­drous light!

Just to know He cares.

What a bless­ing when temp­ta­tions

Come with ov­er­whelm­ing pow­er

And a sin seems O so lit­tle

In the weak­ness of the hour

That we have a lov­ing Je­sus

By whose grace the soul ex­pands

Gaining strength to meet and con­quer

Just be­cause He un­der­stands.

When our souls are freed from sor­rows

And the glad new day has dawned

We shall see with bright­ened vi­sion

Where the dark des­pairs had yawned.

We may look in­to the beau­ty

Of His face

in that fair land

Seeing all its love and glo­ry

When we
