In the Sunshine of His Smile

How my heart with joy is thrill­ing

Since I found the liv­ing way

And am trust­ing in my Sav­ior all the while!

He has par­doned my trans­gress­ions

Turning dark­ness in­to day

And I’m liv­ing in the sun­shine of His smile.

In the sun­shine of His smile

There is joy and com­fort for each wea­ry mile;

And when earth­ly life is ov­er

I shall with the ran­somed throng

Dwell for­ev­er in the sun­shine of His smile.

I have sweet com­mun­ion with Him

As His will He helps me do

Striving lost ones un­to Him to re­con­cile;

By the grace and strength He gives me

I can ev­er­more be true

Gladly keep­ing in the sun­shine of His smile.

He is shar­ing all my bur­dens

Giving glad­ness

peace and rest;

O how sweet to be no long­er an ex­ile!

Knowing Je­sus loves and keeps me

I am now su­preme­ly blest

For there’s Heav­en in the sun­shine of His smile.
