To see this day of Thine;

This day of rest

Proclaims Thy love di­vine.

I thank thee

most of all

For Thy best gift of love;

The gift of Christ

whose sav­ing grace

We all

to­day

may prove.

And when the ev­en­ing shades of life

Bring slum­ber and re­pose

may I see Thee face to face
