Praises be to God

for I am glo­ry bound

For I am a mi­ra­cle of grace;

Ask of God a sign

it sure­ly can be found

In a hap­py Christ­ian’s face.

I know whom I have be­liev­èd

And am per­suad­ed that He is able

To keep that which I’ve com­mit­ted

Unto Him against that day.

O praise the Lord!

I am un­der grace

no long­er un­der law

In the bless­èd light of love I’m free;

To the Word of God I go when sore dis­tressed

When the days are drea­ry

spent in pain or woe

When the watch­es of the night are long

I’ll be trust­ing Je­sus

so in ev­ery place
