I hear the words of Je­sus

They speak of peace with God;

I see the Lamb

Christ Je­sus

Who bore my hea­vy load;

I trust the blood of Je­sus

From sin it sets me free

Who gave Him­self for me.

It shows me what I am;

His cross

It makes the sin­ner whole.

Oh! hear the words of Je­sus

The tid­ings are for thee;

Oh! clasp the cross of Je­sus

And there for refuge flee;

Oh! trust the blood of Je­sus

Be saved this ve­ry hour;

Oh! love the name of Je­sus
