And from love and mercy turned
Knowing well your final doom?
Looking on a wasted past
Facing all your deeds at last
And receive your just reward?
Not one deed for Jesus done
Not one soul immortal won
And from Heaven be debarred?
Peace and joy beyond recall
Now from sin to disenthrall
In that morning face to face?
To be banished from the throne
Into death and woes unknown
