day of rest;

By our great Re­deem­er blest;

When in ma­jes­ty He rose

More than con­quer­or o’er His foes.

Softly now we hear Him say

Turn from earth­ly toil away;

Let your pray­ers to Heav­en as­cend;

I will keep you to the end.

Day of wor­ship

hal­lowed hour

May the Spir­it’s quick­en­ing pow­er

Give us grace and strength anew

While our jour­ney we pur­sue.

Holy Sab­bath

may thy light

Pure and ho­ly

calm and bright

Lift our hearts to God ab­ove

Spring of joy

of life

of love.
