Hiding in the Rock

In the Rock of Ag­es hid­ing

I have found a sure re­treat;

In the Re­fuge now abid­ing

I have found a joy com­plete.

While the storm around me rag­es

And the ang­ry bil­lows roar

I am hid­ing in the Rock of Ag­es

I am safe for­ev­er­more.

In the Rock of Ag­es rest­ing

I en­joy a sweet re­pose;

Where the grace of God for­ev­er

Like a migh­ty riv­er flows.

In the Rock of Ag­es trust­ing

I am kept in per­fect peace;

In the hope of glo­ry wait­ing

Till the toil of life shall cease.
