In the sky the stars are shin­ing

Bright and fair

On a man­ger bed re­clin­ing

See the world’s Re­deem­er there.

Hear the bells of Heav­en ring­ing

Hear the hosts of an­gels sing­ing;

Joyful news to earth they’re bring­ing

Of a Sav­ior born;

O’er the hills the dawn is creep­ing

While the an­gels watch are keep­ing

O’er the Sav­ior who is sleep­ing

On this ho­ly morn.

Kneel be­fore the King of glo­ry

On this morn

hap­py morn;

Then re­peat to all the sto­ry

Of a won­drous Sav­ior born.

Unto Him who brings sal­va­tion

We will sing

ev­er sing;

Bear the news to ev­ery na­tion

Jesus is our Lord and king.
