All our tri­als will be ov­er when our Lord shall come;

He is com­ing by and by;

All our pil­grim­age will cease when we ar­rive at home

He is com­ing by and by.

He may come at the mid­night or the morn­ing

He may come at the bright­ness of the noon;

We will watch

We will la­bor ev­ery day

For we know He is com­ing ve­ry soon.

How our hearts will be made hap­py when we see His face;
