He’s Leading Me

lyricist: R. L. Black, 1918 Music: Ernest Rippetoe
Composer: Ernest Rippetoe

My blessèd Savior prepares a place

For all His children redeemed by grace;

I have my trials since I am free

But to that city

He’s leading me.

The Lord is leading

I cannot stray

With love and mercy He cheers my way;

His rod and staff shall my comfort be

I trust and praise Him

He’s leading me.

I will not doubt Him but onward go

To do His bidding

to reap or sow;

And in each duty a blessing see

Rejoicing ever

He’s leading me.

How sweet to follow and daily prove

The care of Jesus

His grace and love!

He died to save me on Calvary

With joy I’ll serve Him

He’s leading me.

Till Christ is coming His own to bless

I’ll strive to serve Him in righteousness

Content whatever my lot may be

To joys eternal

He’s leading me.
