Soon our jour­ney will be end­ed

Soon our tri­als will be o’er;

We shall dwell with Christ

On the bright eter­nal shore.

We shall meet our great Re­deem­er

Every soul with glad­ness thrill­ing

In the pre­sence of our king.

We shall meet our friends and loved ones

Who are wait­ing at the door;

There’ll be ma­ny a hap­py meet­ing

On the bright ce­les­ti­al shore.

There the wick­ed cease from troub­ling

There the wea­ry are at rest;

Free from pain and woe and sor­row

We shall be for­ev­er blest.
