Ah! what is hap­pi­ness com­plete?

if you know;

I’d seek that won­der­ful re­treat

And to its al­tar go.

To fall at Je­sus’ feet

And at the blood-stained mer­cy seat

The lov­ing Christ to meet.

Here is the al­tar where you may

In sweet con­tent­ment bow;

Ah! Christ

I come to Thee

Where hap­pi­ness is mine com­plete

To all eter­ni­ty.
