Hail, Thou Glorious Easter Morning

lyricist: Anonymous, 1897
Composer: Peter Schnecker

Hail

thou glorious Easter morning

Day of joy beyond compare;

Angels hailed thy glorious dawning

Found the stone no longer there.

Shout aloud

O earth and Heaven

Angels join the glad refrain

Christ for man Himself has given

Christ has died

but lives again.

Found the grave no longer bound Him

Found death’s victory was o’er;

Christ

new glory shining round Him

Reigns in Heav’n forevermore.

All ye nations now adore Him

Cast your offering at His feet

Bring sweet flowers today before Him

And glad hymns of joy repeat.
