Almost you’ve set­tled the quest­ion

Solemnly count­ing the cost;

Listen to­day

turn while you may

Almost may mean ful­ly lost.

You are go­ing down to judg­ment

Going down to judg­ment

Walking where the lost have trod;

O stop

just now

and think

E’er you reach the aw­ful brink

Prepare to meet thy God.

Just on the thresh­old you’re stand­ing:

Why do you still turn away?

Life is so dear

death is so near

Come to the Sav­ior to­day.

Soon you must make your de­ci­sion

Come

and no long­er re­fuse;

Now while you may

choose life to­day

Do not God’s mer­cy ab­use.

Jesus has died to re­deem you

Offers you life thro’ His blood;

You must re­pent

or soon la­ment

Banished for­ev­er from God.
