God May Call for You

When the hosts of sin are march­ing

With their wea­pons gleam­ing bright

With their ban­ners bold­ly wav­ing

All their forc­es in the fight;

Then the ar­my of Je­ho­vah

Keeps them faith­ful­ly in view

And the Lord will want a lead­er—

He may call for you.

Are you rea­dy? Are you rea­dy?

Will you nob­ly dare and do?

Are you rea­dy? Are you rea­dy?

God may call for you!

When the fort­ress is in dan­ger

Watch the foe with cease­less care;

He will sure­ly gain an en­trance

If one trai­tor soul is there;

He will tempt

and bribe

and threat­en

Every ev­il art pur­sue!

Then the Lord wants faith­ful serv­ants—

He may call for you.

There are sol­diers who have nev­er

Seen the thick­est of the fight

But in hum­ble

cheer­ful serv­ice

They have kept the ar­mor bright;

Never wea­ry

ev­er faith­ful

Glad to toil the whole day thro’

There is need of spe­cial work­ers—

God may call for you.
