at this ve­ry hour

For sus­tain­ing grace to forth to­day

By Thy Spir­it blesed with con­vict­ing pow­er;

For the show­ers

Let the bless­ings fall to­day;

In our Sav­ior’s name we a bless­ing claim;

For the show­ers

we pray.

Let Thy will hold sway eve­ry heart with­in

May a new in­fill­ing be ours to­day;

Give us grace to con­quer each lurk­ing sin;

For the show­ers

Lord

we pray.

As in old­en times by Thy Spir­it’s fire

Thou didst burn up dross in Thy migh­ty way;

With a rich out­pour­ing our souls in­spire;
