Encouraged by Thy love and care

I bend the sup­pli­ant knee

And of­fer in Thy house of pray­er

My vows

oh Lord

to Thee.

When lang­uor seized my fee­ble frame

And threat­ened speedy death

From Thee the time­ly suc­cor came

Which gave me back my breath.

Now by Thy pow­er and grace re­stored

And res­cued from the grave

What shall I ren­der to the Lord

Who migh­ty is to save?

To Thee

my kind de­li­ver­ing friend

I yield my sin­ful heart;

My all I give

till life shall end

Nor from Thee will de­part.

Upheld by Thine al­migh­ty grace

My love to Thee I’ll prove;

With zeal will run the Christ­ian race

Till I ar­rive above.
