Count All Things Loss

But what things were gains to me

I counted loss on account of Christ;

To gain Christ

found in Him

Righteous through the faith of Christ.

All I once held dear

now I lay it down

For the sake of Christ

trade my earthly crown.

Righteousness I seek—not my own so vain

But that which through faith in Christ I gain.

Not by works I stand

but by grace alone

In His mercy shown

love to me made known.

Found in Christ my King

in His truth I ’bide;

In His righteousness

I’m justified.

All the world may claim treasures bright and bold

But in Christ alone

I have wealth untold.

Not by past or pride

nor by things I’ve done

But by faith in Him

the victory’s won.

Pressing on I go

leaving self behind

With my eyes on Him

true life now I find.

All my worth and gain don’t deserve my care;

Nothing with the love of Christ compares.
