Blessèd Cleansing Fountain

Composer: Samuel. Howard, 1904

In the blessèd crimson fountain

I’ve been washed and saved from sin

He who died on Calvary’s mountain

Gives me precious peace within.

O the blessèd crimson fountain

Free for all its waters flow;

Come and test its healing merit—

It will make you white as snow.

Though life’s road is rough and dreary

Though through dangers I must go

Christ is with me as I journey

And no harm my soul shall know.

I will trust my loving Savior

Faithful will I strive to be

Till I reach the land of promise

And His wondrous glory see.
