Beautiful Christ­mas time

Once more we greet

Telling in song and chime

A sto­ry sweet—

Story of One who came

From courts ab­ove

That all who hear His name

Might know His love.

The Christ­mas light shines o’er us

It lights the way be­fore us;

Sweet bells in sil­ver chor­us

Proclaim the glad news of Heav’n!

The ang­els bright are sing­ing

That Je­sus Christ is born

The an­gels are sing­ing

The glad bells are ring­ing

The birth of Im­man­uel.

Beautiful Christ­mas day

Of long ago

Ever up­on our way

Thy light shall glow;

Ever thy won­der­ful

Gladness shall bring

News to a list­en­ing earth

Of Christ the King.
