O the Lord has need of child­ren in His serv­ice

He has some­thing for each lit­tle one to do;

He is call­ing for the faith­ful and the will­ing

He is call­ing for brave hearts and true.

Then be up

up

up and do­ing

With hearts ev­er brave and true;

Take your place in the race

Find the work that is wait­ing for you.

There is need of lit­tle sol­diers in the bat­tle

For the hosts of sin are ris­ing in their might;

Then arise and join the val­iant lit­tle ar­my

Wage a war­fare for good and for right.

There is need of lit­tle work­ers in the har­vest

For the grain is ripe and rea­dy for the yield;

Then arise and join His band of lit­tle work­ers

Go ye forth to the great har­vest field.
