And put your ar­mor on;

The foe is press­ing in on ev­ery side

For bat­tle fierce and long;

The cla­ri­on call is ring­ing loud and strong

For sold­iers brave and true;

Come

ral­ly round the ban­ner

Satan’s hosts pur­sue.

O Church of Christ

And back­ward hurl the foe;

The fight is on

the con­flict has be­gun

And on­ward we must go;

Press for­ward in the name of Christ our king

To shout the vic­tor’s song;

Defying Sa­tan’s migh­ty hosts

For Christ march on.

The bat­tle soon shall cease;

When Christ

our migh­ty lead­er

shall ap­pear

And bring en­dur­ing peace;

The pow’rs of dark­ness then shall be cast out

Confusion mark their way;
